Snow King Resort: Mountain Family Fun
Snow King Resort is a family-friendly ski resort that offers a variety of activities near downtown Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Located at the base of Snow King Mountain, the resort has ski-in/ski-out accommodation in the hotel or condos, on-property dining, plenty of outdoor winter activities, and is just a few blocks from Jackson Hole Town Square. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are also just a short drive away.

There are two types of accommodation available. Guests can stay at the hotel at the base of Snow King Mountain with double queen or king rooms available or rent a luxury vacation condo. The hotel was renovated in 2020 and guest rooms are spacious and comfortable with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable.

For a private retreat with family or friends, the luxury condos are a wonderful option. The condos come in studio, one bedroom or two bedroom. They feature high ceilings, bright windows, private terraces, granite countertops, subzero refrigerators and gourmet kitchens or kitchenettes. Condos are stocked with linens, soaps, towels, pots, and pans. Pets are not allowed.

Dining at Hayden’s Post
Snow King Resort has on-property dining at Hayden’s Post Kitchen + Bar. With stunning views of Snow King Mountain, live music, outdoor deck and indoor fireplace, the restaurant is a great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu includes items such as Brussels Sprouts with pickled blueberries, puffed white rice, micro celery, pomegranate, fried sage in roasted squash vinaigrette, Chili, All American Burgers, King Salmon, and Buffalo Wings. Every morning, the restaurant offers a breakfast buffet with all the favorites you’d expect.
Fun for Kids at Snow King Resort
Snow King Resort is a convenient and fun resort for a family vacation. In addition to the mountain activities, the resort also has a s’mores night, hot cocoa night, and snowman scavenger hunt. Private fire pits are available to rent also. The resort makes it easy with on-property gear rental for a variety of outdoor adventures, as well as picnic lunches.
Snow King Mountain Activities
Snow King Resort is located at the base of Snow King Mountain, which offers challenging skiing and snowboarding. It is a training location for alpine racing. The frontside runs are very steep, but on the backside there are beginner and intermediate runs. There are 400 skiable acres, 3 lifts, a magic carpet and 32 named runs. It is much smaller than nearby Jackson Hole Ski Resort, but that typically means it is less crowded and lift tickets cost much less. The resort also offers night skiing. The lifts are open until 6 pm, rather than 4 pm. The view of the Grand Tetons from the mountain is breathtaking. The fun doesn’t stop on the slopes, other activities include snow tubing, mountain coaster, and scenic gondola ride. Buy a Big King Pass to enjoy all of the winter activities available at Snow King Resort. A unique way to explore the mountain is by Uphill Travel called “skinning.” Bypass the chairlifts and ski up using skins, then ski down.
