Who doesn’t love a girls’ getaway to the coast

Who doesn’t love a girls’ getaway to the coast? While in Santa Barbara, I took a free walking architectural tour, did a salt cave meditation, rented a bike for a ride along the beach, hopped about the trolley for a tour of Santa Barbara, ate lots of amazing food (Goat Tree, Angel Oak, Scarlett Begonia) and stayed at the iconic The Ritz-Carlton Barbara, Santa Barbara where I had the most amazing spa treatment. I also spent time in beautiful Montecito where I browsed the hip boutiques along Coast Village Road, had a delicious lunch at Bettina Pizzeria in the Montecito Country Mart and stayed at the impressive Rosewood Miramar Beach where I dined at the MICHELIN-starred Caruso’s.

Mammoth is my Happy Place! I typically visit during winter, for epic downhill skiing, but this year, visiting in the fall was just as much fun. I got to try the Via Ferrata, Summer Tubing and the Mountain Coaster, and took the scenic gondola tonthe top while Jeff mountain bikes down. Charlie and I hit the sog-friendly trails for hiking at Inyo Lake, McLeod Lake, and Mineret Vista. We stayed at the newly opened Outbound Mammoth with modern cabins, firepits and a breakfast food truck. Dinner at Vulcania in The Village was fun and the the Cuban food at Dos Alas was awesome.

The best thing about Turks & Caicos is the amazing water! The color is so vibrant and the visibility is so clear. A day on the water is a must! There are so many options - boating, kayaking, SUPing, snorkeling, scuba. And there are so many small uninhabited islands and cays for a secluded experience. We visited Iguana Island with the most incredible beach and adorable iguanas. 🏝️

Stayed at the iconic Grace Bay Club on Grace Bay Beach (one the most beautiful beaches in the world!) in Turks & Caicos. My one-bedroom suite was massive, with the most amazing views of the turquoise ocean, his and hers closets, huge bathtub, complimentary flip flops, kitchenette, dining and living areas, and a personal concierge. The resort features a kids pool, adults-only pool, open air restaurants, infinity pool, complimentary breakfast buffet, spa treatments, fitness facility, and free yoga classes. Guests can also get out on the water on a kayak, hobble cat or SUP for no additional charge. I spent every spare moment soaking in the warm, crystal clear water!

While in Sonoma recently I had dinner at the newly opened Arandas in Healdsburg, which serves upscale Mexican cuisine with a twist. Chef Adrien Nieto concocts creative cuisine from various influences. You won’t find bean and cheese burritos on this menu. Think fresh seafood and lots of vegetables accompanied by frijoles and guac. Yum!
