The spacious luxury suites have private balconies or patios with golf course and garden views, as well as a private plunge pool for cooling off on a hot day. The rooms are decorated in warm hues that reflect traditional Mexican design. Rooms range in size from the 463-square-foot Master Suite to the 5,564-square-foot, four-bedroom Presidential Suite. There are four dining options at Casa Velas, including Emiliano Restaurant, Táu Beach Club, Aqua Bar (poolside), and 24-hour In-suite dining.

Emiliano is the resort’s award-winning AAA Four-Diamond signature restaurant serving gourmet Mexican cuisine. Guests can dine inside the stylish dining space or sit outdoors on the beautiful terrace. Menu items include dishes such as molletes rancheros, mahi mahi fillet with garlic, Roman-style calamari, wild mushroom cream soup, and rosemary panna cotta – or guest can choose to dine from the buffet.

For an even more romantic meal, take the complimentary shuttle to/from oceanfront Táu Beach Club with VIP access to the restaurant, pool, jacuzzi, and beach with Pool Concierge service. It’s a beautiful place to take a walk along the beach and watch the sunset.

Take it slow by relaxing at the pool or visiting ABJA Spa for an indulgent treatment, such as a massage, facial, aromatherapy, reflexology, or sacred ritual utilizing herbs and ingredients grown on the property. Families that need a little extra space will enjoy the two-bedroom Family Suite with ocean view terrace and private bar or the even larger two-story, three-bedroom Family Residence with a spa bathroom and snacks delivered daily.

Dining at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

Enjoy world-class cuisine from Mexico, Asia, Italy and France at beautifully decorated restaurants with five-star service.

At Sen Lin, dine on Asian fusion meals such as Khao Phad – Thai-style fried jasmine rice with chicken, beef, or shrimp; Som Tam – Spicy papaya salad with green beans, cherry tomatoes, peanuts, and cashews; or Poo Him Tod Pung Kahri – Fried soft shell crab with yellow curry sauce, egg, and turmeric purée. The elegant, family-friendly restaurant is stunning with wooden accents and soft lighting.

Frida serves up creative Mexican cuisine, such as Tacos de Pulpo – ‘Zarandeado-style’ octopus tacos in a marinade of dried chilies, accompanied by pork ‘chamorro’ in red sauce, grilled guacamole, pickled onions, and ‘salsa borracha’ (drunk sauce) with craft beer; Pechuga de Pollo – Grilled chicken breast on a bean tamale, with ‘huitlacoche’ sauce, roasted corn with ‘epazote’ butter, and fresh cheese; and Chile en Nogada – Poblano chili stuffed with stew vegetables and nogada style sauce with cashews nut and red fruits . There is also a kid-friendly menu and churros for dessert.

If you’re craving Italian, Lucca offers an upscale dining experience with a posh dining room, ocean views, and live music. Choose from a variety of fresh pasta, risotto, pizza, seafood, meat dishes with a vegetarian and kids menu available.

For classic French cuisine, Piaf‘s chic and elegance ambiance is the perfect backdrop for a meal of Pâté en Croûte de Pato – duck and foie gras with pistachios, mushrooms, and mini salad; Estofado de Short Rib – Burgundy short rib stew with Brussels sprouts and bacon; sautéed with short jus, baby onions, and creamy garlic, and Soufflé – Grand Marnier soufflé with vanilla sauce, and refreshing granita.
