IMG_2887With sixteen locations throughout the United States, LYFE Kitchen is preparing sustainable, flavorful meals for its many customers.

With an organic modern decor, earth toned furnishings, and photos of sprawling farmland, the restaurant welcomes guests with a live herb wall in the entrance. Although the herbs growing on the display are not used in the actual cooking, the sight and smell of the fresh chives, bay leaves, lemon balm, dill and basil is enticing.

IMG_2889The restaurant’s slogans, “Love your food everyday” and “Taste you can trust,” scrolled across the walls at the Irvine Spectrum, California location, seem to imply that the food they are serving will be something the customers will enjoy and be thankful for. With a menu that offers vegan, gluten-free, nut-free options, there seems to be items for the traditional foodie, as well as those with dietary restrictions. The chicken is free-roaming and antibiotic free and the Mahi Mahi is line caught.

Popular lunch and dinner menu items include the Roasted Mushroom & Goat Cheese Flatbread with roasted criminal, cartelized onions, goat and mozzarella cheeses, balsamic, and chives ($9), Quinoa Crunch Bowl with quinoa tabbouleh, fresh crunch vegetables, avocado, arugula, edamame hummus, chipotle vinaigrette, and fireman’s hot sauce ($10), Mahi Fish Tacos with chayote slaw, avocado, cilantro, chipotle aioli, corn tortillas, and salsa fresca ($11), Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Squash with dried cranberries and dijon vinaigrette ($4),

and Chocolate Budino with pomegranate, chia seeds, and toasted almonds (4).

 

Drinks are not an after thought. The Lyfe Waters, such as Cucumber Mint Lyfe Water with fresh cucumber juice, mint, lime and agave ($2.50), Smoothies and Fresh-Squeezed Lemonades and Juices are the perfect compliment to a savory meal. Local craft beer and wine on tap is also available. A “Little Lyfers” kid’s menu is available with items such as unfried chicken strips and cheesy flatbread.

Party Food at LYFE Kitchen

The restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seems to be somewhere between fancy food and fast food, with orders be placed at the register and delivered to the table.
