Dine on creative West Coast-inspired fare at The 7th Street Standard restaurant located in the hotel lobby area with a spacious U-shaped bar servicing craft cocktails. The sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere lends itself to a fun night out whether you’re staying at the hotel or just celebrating a special occasion or wanting an intimate date night. The Art Deco decor is continued in the restaurant with dark green leather booths, rich wooden tables and soft brass lighting. The restaurant, which is open for brunch, lunch and dinner, services menu items such as Mussels & Yucca Fries, Poblano & Onion Pakora, Braised Short Ribs, and Pork Belly Hash. For outstanding views of downtown Sacramento and a swanky bar scene, head up to the Clayton Club rooftop lounge and terrace, serving light bites and artisan cocktails, including zero-proof drinks.

Things to Do in the Area

The Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento is walking distance to a variety of attractions and entertainment. Right next to the hotel is Downtown Commons, which is a modern, open-air shopping complex featuring the Golden 1 Center, an eclectic dining scene, trendy shopping, and vibrant nightlife. Places to walk to within the Downtown area include the State Capitol Building where you can view the beautiful dome and wander through the museum. Or, take a Downtown Sacramento Historical Food Tour where you’ll learn about California’s capital city’s history as you pop into local eateries for tastings. Another nearby place worth checking out that is historic Old Sacramento Waterfront with ties to the California Gold Rush/Transcontinental Railroad. The cobblestone streets and storefronts are reminiscent of an old Western town. Visitors can buy souvenirs, take a ride on a riverboat, ride along the riverside bike trails, or enjoy a horse-and-carriage ride.
