Craft & Commerce serves up wood fired fare in San Diego
The cool urban vibe and wood fired menu items make Craft & Commerce in San Diego the place to go to kick back and catch up with friends or family over a casual custom-crafted meal.
The vibe at Craft & Commerce
The reclaimed wood ceiling, bookcase full of used books, and balcony table top fire pots give the place a rustic feel with meaningful, playful quotes to read while you dine. The life-sized stuffed (real!) lion encased in glass that is perched over the bar and various animal heads throughout the restaurant provide talking points. The “Demand Less” quote in brickwork stands out as something to ponder. Take a seat at the bar or enjoy a balcony table when the sun is out.
The menu at Craft & Commerce
The menu at Craft & Commerce features locally sourced ingredients with a creative flare. Pull up a retro industrial colorful metal chair or rustic wooden barstool to dig in to Cornbread Skillet with honey-thyme butter ($5), Local Citrus and Avocado Salad with brie watercress, spiced pistachios, and Temecula honey ($15) or Wood Fired Chili-Garlic Half Chicken with ginger friend rice, daikon radish salad, and eel sauce ($25). Don’t miss out on the S’mores Sundae with chocolate mousse, salted caramel, smoked meringue, and espresso gelato ($10).
The speakeasy at Craft & Commerce
One of the unexpected surprises is the speakeasy room hidden behind a plastic foliage curtain. Decorated like tiki room straight from the islands, customers can in indulge in their favorite tropical concoction while hanging loose and enjoying the island vibe.
