Mosaic Hotel Provides Chic Luxury
The Mosaic Hotel, Gemstone Hotels & Resorts, has recently undergone an extensive multi-million dollar renovation and has relaunched as a sleek, modern boutique hotel offering luxury accommodation and upgraded amenities.
The 49-room property redesign was created by London-based design firm Luxlo and combines a modern and artistic look that celebrates the California lifestyle with natural tones and materials including Mosaic’s signature sage, as well as bright white, azure and dark blues throughout. Some highlights include bespoke silk embroidered Fromental wallpaper with a nod to famed artist David Hockney, as well as a custom weave sculpture by Renee Dinauer and original wall art by David Dauncey.
Sleek, Modern Rooms at the Mosaic Hotel
The modern guest rooms are decorated with grey hues and feature Fili’Doro® 300-thread count luxurious linens, colorful wall art and state-of-the-art technology including an electric “do not disturb” sign. Guests can choose from two double beds or one king, which isn’t the best fit for families (even though a rollaway bed is available), so this might be better for a couple’s escape. The king suites are much more spacious with a couch and sitting area. Opt for a room on the top floor to avoid noise from upstairs neighbors.
Other room amenities may include the following:
- Nespresso machines
- High Speed Internet Access
- Bose stereo systems with iPod connections
- Flat Panel HD LCD televisions
- Frette terry and robes
- Laptop size wall safes
- BVLGARI® bath products
- Rain forest shower heads
- Oversized workstations with eye-level laptop connections
- Goose down blankets
- Calacatta marble vanities in the suites
- Bedside USB charging stations
- Minibar and Honor Bar (with extra room for your own drinks and snacks)
On-Property Dining at the Mosaic Hotel
The “Dining Room” at the Mosaic Hotel is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Indoor seating is just off the lobby and outdoor cabana-style seating is available by the pool. For after diner drinks, the lobby bar offers beer, wine and cocktails. The menu includes items such as Ahi Stack with cucumber, avocado, mango, soy glaze, wonton crisps, and wasabi greens ($14); Almond and Walnut Crusted Salmon with wild mushrooms and asparagus risotto and lemon caper sauce ($26); and Apple Tart Topped with Caramel Sauce and a scoop of vanilla gelato ($6).
