Cabins, Tents, and Yurts, Oh My!

The following three types of accommodation are available at El Capitan Canyon, all of which include beds, duvets, blankets and pillows, bath towels, ample lighting, and basic furnishings such as chairs, nightstands, and outdoor picnic table,plus a grill and fire pit. Prices vary from $145 to $795 per night depending on size and season. No pets allowed.

  • Safari TentsThese canvas tents cabins are as rough as it gets at El Capitan Canyon. The tents have screened windows and zip-down flaps and include a small heater. Public bathroom and shower nearby. Accommodates two with a queen or two double beds.
  • Adventure YurtsThese round canvas yurts have indoor lattice and a raised rooftop that includes a domed skylight that is perfect for stargazing. Public bathroom and shower nearby. Accommodations four with a queen and twin daybed with twin trundle.
  • Cedar Cabins: This choice has the most amenities, including a bathroom and shower, heater, kitchenette with microwave, mini-fridge, wet bar sink and coffeemaker. Sizes vary.

Canyon Market & Deli

Guests will find everything they need at the Canyon Market & Deli. It is a general store, gift shop and restaurant all-in-one. It is one-stop shopping for snacks, sundries, and logo wear. The on-propety dining options for those who want to cook include bringing your own food, picking up groceries or a “grill dining” signature barbecue kit at the Canyon Market and cooking in the cabin kitchenette or outdoor grill. The kits include food, drink, firewood, plates, utensils, napkins and a s’mores kit. For those not wanting to cook, the Deli serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor dining areas. “Cabin service” (like room service) is also available. Order from the Deli menu and have it delivered to your camp site.

Spa in the Woods

Indulge in a spa treatment surrounded by the beauty of the Canyon. Treatments are preformed in a canvas tent, cabin or garden setting that allows privacy, but still offers a feel for the outdoors. Treatment options include a Hot Stone Massage, Canyon Classic Signature Massage, or Barefoot Deeper Work.

Activities at El Capitan Canyon

There is no shortage of activities to keep adults and children busy during a stay at El Capitan Canyon. The property offers free bicycle rentals to cruise around the property or even take the short path to the nearby El Capitan State Beach (it is uphill on the way back). Kids will love taking a dip in the heated swimming pool, playing on the playground, or taking a short hike to see the llamas. A ropes course is available for those seeking adventure. Other seasonal activities include concerts, yoga, story-telling, and stargazing. Off-property adventures include things like golf, whale watching, Segway tours, Jeep tours, wine tasting, and surfing.
